CBD can be utilized in a variety of ways. Tinctures, sprays, capsules, and topicals are all amazing but let’s shake the routine up a bit!
If you’re the type that likes to get creative in the kitchen, you’ll see that by combining the overwhelming benefits of CBD with one of your favourite hobbies, you can bring wellness and nourishment to a whole new level!
Foods that contain CBD fall under the category of edibles. Next to tinctures (sublingual use), edibles provide one of the most bioavailable ways of consuming cannabidiol. For most people, CBD is an acquired taste and it’s best to keep in mind that Full-Spectrum CBD oil has a very earthy/ woody flavour. Rather try mixing your CBD oils with another strong flavour, like a tomato base instead of a white cheese sauce for example.
There really is no limit to the number of ways cooking with CBD oil can boost your menu! The best part about making your own edibles is that you control the ingredients you use. If you’re following a specific diet, you can customise your recipes to meet your specific needs. Think of it like adding more vegetables into your diet. After one day, you may not necessarily feel very different, but after a little while, you’ll start to feel healthier, more energetic and experience less brain fog. The same applies to CBD. As CBD is not a psychoactive drug, you may not notice any immediate change when taking it initially but you will feel the benefits by incorporating CBD oil into your routine over the course of a week.
While taking a CBD oil supplement will affect everyone differently, most people will associate CBD oil with feelings of calm, being relaxed, reduced stress and feeling peaceful. CBD is shown to have a relaxing effect by repressing the arousal of your nervous system, and can, therefore, help relieve anxiety.
When cooking with CBD, you should note that CBD oil does not dissolve in water. For this, you need a water-soluble form of CBD, like our Hydro-NGB Drops.
